Our Eagles 5th/6th grade volleyball team hosted the 4th annual Saunemin 5th/6th Grade Tournament. The Eagles played Friday night in Pool A competition. They started the evening playing against St. Mary's 5th grade. The Eagles won 25-5 and 25-6. Leading Scorer for the Eagles was Kenzie Roahrig with 21 points and 8 aces. Ashley Harfst added 10 points and 3 aces. Cassie Einhaus had 6 points and 1 ace. Courtney Riley had 3 points and 1 ace and Hannah Slown added 2 points. Molly Ruddy finished up the scoring with 1 point.
The girls played Odell next and won 25-12 and 25-7. Leading the way was Molly Ruddy with 16 points and 6 aces. Kenzie Roahrig added 12 points and 1 ace. Hannah Slown had 6 points. Cassie Einhaus had 5 points and 1 ace. Destiney Riley added 4 points to round out the Eagles scoring.
The 3rd match of the evening, the Eagles played Ransom/St. Anthony's. We won 25-11 and 25-8. Kenzie Roahrig led the way with 28 points and 7 aces. Ashley Harfst added 6 points and 2 aces. Bailee Osborn had 3 points. Molly Ruddy added 1 point to finish up the scoring for the Eagles. The Eagles were #1 in Pool A.
On Saturday, the Eagles played in the Championship game against the Ottawa Outlaws. Our Eagles soared to another championship by winning in two games 25-7 and 25-17. Leading scorer for the Eagles was Kenzie Roahrig with 17 points and 1 ace. Cassie Einhaus added 13 points. Molly Ruddy had 3 points and 1 ace and Bailee Osborn also had 3 points. Ashley Harfst added 2 points to finish up. This group of girls played awesome and put a fantastic end on this season! We are looking forward to next year!!
