Our Saunemin Eagles volleyball team began their season with a home game against St. Mary's on Monday, January 4th. Our 7th grade team lost in 3 matches 24-26, 25-16, and 19-25. Cassie Einhaus led the way for the Eagles with 12 points and 1 ace. Ashley Harfst added 8 points and 4 aces. Kenzie Roahrig and Destiney Riley each had 6 points with 1 ace. Bailee Osborn and Molly Ruddy each added 4 points with Molly having 1 ace. Hannah Slown had 1 point to round out the scoring.
The 8th grade Eagles lost in 3 matches 25-23, 23-25, and 21-25. Leading the way for the Eagles was Becca Lee who had 12 points and 2 aces. Bethany Horrie added 11 points with 3 aces. Sarah Moore had 10 points and 3 aces. Danielle Miller and Rachel Brakeville each added 4 points to round out the scoring.
